This
month I’m going to discuss the proper way to clean your bed. There is
more to keeping your bed clean than just wiping down the acrylic after
a customer is finished tanning. At least once a month, you need to give
your whole bed a thorough cleaning to keep it in top condition. This
includes taking both top and bottom acrylics out and cleaning both
sides of them.
Aside
from the cleaning the acrylics you will want to use a damp cloth and
wipe down each lamp and also the reflectors on both the top and bottom.
This will clean off any dust that has made its way into your unit. Any
dust on the lamps and reflector will cut down on the amount of UV light
that can bounce around in the bed.
Don’t
forget about changing your air filters if your bed uses one. A dirty
air filter will cause your bed to overheat and will not only make your
customers uncomfortable but can also cause problems with bed operation.
Set up a monthly cleaning routine and you will keep your bed running
without any major problems.
