Checking Power Cords

When was the last time you checked your power cords coming out of your ballast tray where they plug into your canopy and bench? Keep in mind that over time, these can wiggle loose from the up and down motion of the canopy. It can also occur from the heat up and cool down of the room when the bed is running.

During your monthly cleaning routine, make a point to check the power cables and ensure they are tightly connected. If a power cord is loose it can break the connection of the pins inside the plug and receptacle which can cause lights to go out in the bed or worse, cause an arc that can melt the power cord altogether. Replacing a whole power cord can be time consuming, expensive, and creates a lot of down time.
