I talked about how important it is to keep things clean around your
beds and setting up a maintenance routine. If you are using a T-max
Manager and a computer, it is equally important to keep your Manager up
to date with software and your computer clean. You may not need to do
it once a month like your beds, but I would say at least once a year
you would want to do maintenance on your computer.
It
would be wise to get a can of compressed air and blow any dust out of
your computer. Dust in your computer obviously won’t have any effect on
your tanning unit, but it can affect the way your computer runs. If the
computer is having issues, your Helios software can potentially have
issues and that will cause you down time.
A few years ago I actually saw a machine that was having all kinds off
errors and was virtually unusable. The owners were ready to throw it
away. I brought it back to my office and used a nozzle on an air
compressor and completely cleaned the inside of the machine out. After
that one simple step the computer ran like it was brand new. Dust had
been shorting out some of the circuits on the boards inside.
Little things like this will add to less downtime and more profit.
